Commence or renew your membership in the Horatio Alger Society

The Horatio Alger Society (H.A.S.) membership fee for any 12-month period is $25.00 ($20.00 for 65 and older).

Membership includes a subscription to Newsboy, the official newsletter of the H.A.S., published bi-monthly. Single issues of Newsboy are $4.00 (as available) from William R. Gowen. Click here to view recent articles from Newsboy.

If you are interested in joining the H.A.S, or wish to renew your existing membership, and have a PayPal account, please do the following:

Open a fresh browser and login to your PayPal account

Click on the "Send Money" tab

Click on the "Send Money Online" tab

Enter "rkasper@hotmail.com" in the "To" field

Enter $25.00 ($20.00 for 65 and over) in the "Amount" field

Select "USD - U.S. Dollars" for the "Currency" field

Select the "Cash Advance" radio button in the "For" column and click on the "Continue" button

Enter "H.A.S Membership Application" or "H.A.S. Membership Renewal" in the "Subject" field

If this is new membership, please enter your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address in the "Message" field

Click on the "Send Money" button. A transaction acknowledgement window appears.

Select the 'No shipping address required' radio button, then click on the 'Send Money' button

You will receive a payment receipt from PayPal and a acknowledgement receipt from rkasper@hotmail.com (Rob Kasper)

If you have not already done so, please complete a membership application.

If you do not have a PayPal account, please contact Robert E. Kasper, or send a check (made out to the 'Horatio Alger Society') for $25.00 ($20.00 for 65 and over) and a note including your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to:
